🌟Little Starshine Ballet Terms & Conditions
Guiding every twirl with clarity, trust, and a sprinkle of sparkle
🌈Registration & Fees
-
All dancers must complete our registration form before attending the new term. This ensures we can support their needs safely and joyfully.
-
Invoices are sent prior to each half term, including class dates and payment deadlines.
-
Fees are paid as block bookings, covering a half-term of classes (generally 5–7 weeks). This secures your child’s place and helps us plan thoughtfully.
-
Fees are non-refundable, however if a dancer withdraws from a term due to special circumstances, please contact us—we’ll do our best to find a compassionate solution
-
For any missed classes, you may attend catch-up sessions at any other venue during the same term.
-
Free tasters for new pupils are available on request.
💳 Payment Method
-
Payments are usually processed securely via our Wix website, using debit/credit card, Apple Pay, or PayPal.
-
If online payment is not available, fees may be paid via BACS (bank transfer). Bank details will be provided on your invoice.
-
A payment confirmation will be sent once received. Please ensure the reference matches your child’s name.
-
We do not accept cash or cheques—this helps us maintain clear records and follow safeguarding best practices.
🩰 Cancellations, Absences, Force Majeure & Refunds
-
If a class is cancelled by Little Starshine Ballet (e.g. due to illness or venue issues), we will do our best to reschedule—usually at the end of term, during holidays, or by extending future classes.
-
If rescheduling isn’t possible, any fees already paid may be credited toward the next term or refunded at our discretion.
-
Classes cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. adverse weather or force majeure) may not be rescheduled or refunded.
💫 Rebooking & Class Spaces
-
At the end of each block, families are offered a priority rebooking window to retain their child’s class placement.
-
After this window, remaining spaces will be opened to new families. Early booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment.
📣 Communication
-
Class updates, booking reminders, and info will be shared via email, text or WhatsApp.
-
Please keep your contact details up to date.
-
You can reach us at tracy@littlestarshineballet.co.uk—we’re always happy to help and listen.

📸 Photo Consent
-
Consent to your child being included in group photos/videos for promotional use, needs to be answered on the registration form
🧚 Our Responsibilities
-
All classes are led by a safeguarding-trained instructor and covered by appropriate insurance.
-
We aim to provide venues that are clean, safe, and welcoming. If you have feedback, we’re always open to hearing it.
🛡️ Safeguarding
At Little Starshine Ballet, safeguarding is a promise.
-
Tracy (Founder & Teacher) is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
-
Concerns are managed discreetly and in line with current UK guidance.
-
We follow best practices in communication, boundaries, and confidentiality.
-
Parents/carers are encouraged to speak directly with Tracy.
-
This statement sits alongside our Privacy Policy, reflecting our commitment to emotional and informational safety.
🩰 Class Expectations
-
Our classes are joyful, imaginative, and gently structured.
-
Starlings (Walkers -2.5yrs) require parent/carer participation throughout the session.
-
Shimmers (2.5 -4 yrs) require parent/carer presence in the venue, with participation warmly encouraged.
-
For younger dancers (Starlings & Shimmers), it may take around three classes to settle, and we embrace that gently—no pressure, just patience and love.
-
Sparkles (3.5 - 5 yrs) and Starshine Junior Ballet (6+ yrs) are independent classes—however, for safeguarding and reassurance, a parent/carer must remain on-site or nearby. Parents may observe the first few sessions if needed to support settling.
-
Please ensure children arrive on time with appropriate clothing, dance shoes, and water.
-
Eating is only permitted with prior agreement for medical reasons.
-
Personal toys should remain outside the studio unless planned into the session.
-
Positive behaviour is nurtured through encouragement, creativity, and structure. If needed, we’ll work in partnership with families to support each child’s experience.
