Little Starshine Ballet is cherished by families as one of the most trusted children’s ballet schools in Plymouth and Tavistock. We offer warm, welcoming and pressure-free ballet classes for babies, preschoolers and young children aged 16 months, or confidently walking, to 7 years.

What makes Little Starshine Ballet so special is our carefully devised ballet programme, which integrates EYFS learning and development objectives into every class.
While children learn ballet through movement, music, storytelling, props and imaginative adventures, they are also developing important physical, social, emotional and communication skills. Each age appropriate class gently builds confidence, coordination, creativity and independence alongside early ballet technique.
Our progressive programme supports children from their very first ballet steps through to more confident and independent movement, allowing them to learn and develop at a pace that is right for their age and stage.

More Than Just a Ballet Class
Meet The Founder
Hello, I’m Miss Tracy, the founder and principal teacher of Little Starshine Ballet.
Before becoming a teacher, I enjoyed an exciting dance career that began as a professional ballet dancer in South Africa and later took me around the world. I performed in Hollywood and Bollywood films, large-scale productions in Las Vegas, the Moscow Circus and the Stadium Spectacular of Grease. I also toured Australia with African Footprint, danced for MC Hammer and David Hasselhoff, and toured India as an official IPL Cricket dancer.
Performing for thousands of people gave me some unforgettable experiences, but I discovered that my greatest sense of purpose came from teaching children.
I am a fully qualified ISTD Cecchetti ballet teacher and an Early Years specialist, with more than 20 years of experience teaching children and running dance schools. I created Little Starshine Ballet because I wanted to offer something different from a traditional, exam-focused dance school.
Because children can progress with us from their earliest ballet experiences through to more confident and independent movement, I have the privilege of teaching many of them through several stages of their early years. This allows me to build strong, trusting relationships with the children and their families and to watch, support and gently guide each child as they learn and grow.
Seeing tiny dancers develop confidence, friendships and their own wonderful personalities means more to me than any moment I experienced on stage.
Through Little Starshine Ballet, I want every child to know that they can learn, grow and shine in their own way.
We aren’t here to make stars, but to show every child that they already are.
