Welcome to Little Starshine Ballet, offering magical and fun-filled toddler, pre-school, and children’s ballet classes in Tavistock.
Our classes provide a unique, nurturing dance experience for children aged 18 months to 7 years, blending gentle ballet technique with imaginative play, music, storytelling, and adventure-themed classes brought, to life with engaging props. Designed to support every stage of early development, our baby ballet, toddler ballet, and pre-school dance classes help build confidence, coordination, creativity, and social skills in a warm, inclusive, and encouraging environment.

We currently run weekly children's ballet classes at:

Tavistock URC, Lower Deck Hall — Fridays.
Tavistock URC offers easy access for all, with public parking right alongside the building and the bus route just steps away, making it simple for families who prefer not to drive. You will find us in the Lower Deck Hall of the church.
LITTLE STARSHINE BALLET CLASS COSTS
Here’s how our pricing works:
Booked half-termly
Fees are charged in blocks that follow the school calendar—typically 6 or 7 weeks per half term.
Flexible start dates
Families can join at any point during the term and only pay from their child’s first class.
Make-up classes available
If your child misses a session, you’re welcome to attend a make-up class at another venue during the same term.
Runs alongside school terms
Our schedule aligns with local school dates for ease and consistency.

SHIMMERS
Toddler & Preschool Ballet
(18m - 3 yrs)
A playful preschool and toddler ballet class, taught by an experienced and qualified ballet teacher. Little ones explore their first ballet steps alongside their grown-ups in a warm, nurturing environment.
Through gentle ballet, storytelling, props, and music, children build confidence, coordination, and independence while developing a love for movement and supporting early years learning.
Ballet wear and ballet shoes are required. Our beautiful Little Starshine Ballet tutus are worn by most children, but are optional. Visit our online shop for all your dance needs and save with our ‘value starter kit’.
SUPERSTARS
Preschool & Young Children's Ballet
(3.5 - 6 yrs)
Our preschool ballet class in Tavistock is taught by an experienced and qualified ballet teacher in a warm, supportive environment.
With gentle structure, imaginative themes, and age-appropriate technique, children build grace, musicality, and confidence while having fun.
As children transition into an independent class, our set uniform becomes compulsory, the Little Starshine Ballet Skirted Leotard, available in our online shop. There’s no pressure to have this straight away; children are welcome to wear comfy clothes for the first couple of weeks while they settle in.
